Nigerian Biorisk Assessment and Curriculum Review

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

CRDF Global is seeking a subject matter expert to provide remote guidance and feedback via phone, email, and document sharing, to a university in Nigeria to support the development of a basic laboratory biorisk assessment and training curriculum. The tool and training assess current biorisk awareness and practices, identify gaps that need to be addressed, and ensure training materials comply with international standards for biosafety and biosecurity. CRDF Global has an immediate need for a subject matter expert that is willing to remotely support BEP-funded work in Nigeria. For this particular work, CRDF Global is seeking an individual with expertise in the following:

Proven ability to adapt available laboratory biorisk assessment tools to local requirements and settings
Demonstrated expertise in laboratory assessments for biosecurity, domestically and internationally
Proven experience in biosafety and biosecurity training curriculum development
Ability to expose local PI to relevant resources
Thorough knowledge of national and international regulations, standards, and best practices
A strong understanding of local context when working with international partners in the region
